Emirates Unveils UAE Flag Special Livery on A380

Emirates has unveiled a special Airbus A380 livery featuring the flag of the United Arab Emirates.

The new design, applied to the airline’s A6-EVG registered A380, features a three-dimensional interpretation of the UAE flag extending across the aircraft fuselage.

The livery was created as part of the “This Flag Will Always Fly” campaign launched by Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Emirates Airline and Group Chairman Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum stated that the special livery pays tribute to the UAE’s spirit of unity. He noted that Emirates aircraft have carried the UAE flag around the world since the airline’s founding, adding, “There is no bigger stage for our flag than the skies.”

The specially painted A380 has already operated its first flights to New York City and Brisbane and is expected to appear on additional Emirates A380 destinations in the future.

The airline also confirmed that a similar flag-themed design will soon be applied to a Boeing 777 aircraft.
